Fishing Reports

Clearwater, St Pete Deep Sea Fishing

Report Date: May 13, 2005

It about time that the weather is going to take a turn for the better. That of course means the fishing might too. Grouper fishing has not been the best in the last few months inshore of fifty miles. However May is generally the time of the year when red groupers finish their spawn and move into their Summer homes in the Swiss cheese and any hard bottom west of the coast fifteen to forty miles offshore.Today we came 2 from full boat limmit which is a very good sign...

Red snapper season opened last week and the fishing has been great. The snapper fishing just gets better ever year.

Kingfish action has been great the last few weeks with fish scattered from the beach out over twenty miles. Some of the best fishing has been on the artificial reefs and wrecks. Watch out though, Mr. Cuda is ready to eat them so reel quick... Spanish mackerel are thick on inshore ledges just off the beach out to ten miles or better, with some nice size fish showing up daily.

So call us today to book your trip of a lifetime 1-800-350-5001
