West central offshore fishing report

Report Date: August 9, 2007

Typical Summertime fishing seems to be the rule now with red grouper abundant on the offshore hard bottom. Red snapper have been quite healthy too if you are willing to run offshore fifty miles or so...... Sometimes you are lucky to find one in 100 ft or less, but more than a few at that depth are rare This will probably be with us until some time in late September.

Offshore around the Elbow, Middle Grounds and father seem to be holding some tuna, dolphin and wahoo if you want to troll.

King mackerel seem to be hanging around all Summer as the bite continues at all the artificial reefs and offshore wrecks, also over any good bottom offshore of twenty miles. Some of the recent catches of the last few days are nice size too (10-20 lbs).

So call us today to book your fishing trip of a lifetime. 1-800-350-5001 or www.offshorehustler.com
