Gag Grouper Season Opens

Gag Grouper is one of the most popular fish to fish for in the gulf of Mexico.Great fighting fish, good eating and you don't have to run super deep to get them in the right time of the year. Red snapper just closed last week which was a bummer :( We really put the beat down on them this year, boat limit every trip. catch you next year my Red friend!! I was looking at some of the so called offshore charter captains in my area and it looks like they didn't do any red snapper fishing, Shame on them. But they got a lot of Spanish mackerel, LOL. Black fin Tuna has also been great from May -July and still running strong 40 miles plus out, getting them every trip. Mahi- Mahi are here and there working weed lines or anything floating, we got 27 mahi mahi off of a piece of plywood. If you got the range on the boat it is worth the ride.
