King Mack's are back

Report Date: April 9, 2006

Happy days are back again. The last few days we have been catching ouwer limmit of king and Spanish mackerel. The action can only be described "as good as it gets"! The gorgeous weather we have been experiencing this Spring is probably the catalyst to the best bite in years. We have had way better than normal weather since mid February, and it is sure nice after several seasons of tough weather and storms.

On the last few long trip we had offshore the grouper, snapper, and amberjack fishing is getting red hot outside of fifty miles (on longer ten and twelve hour trips).

Grouper fishing inshore however is about as slow as it gets. It is normal to be a bit slow in March as the larger fish are offshore spawning, however this year it is much slower than normal. We all look forward to the opening of red snapper season on April 21st.

May will be with us soon and that brings a change in fishing as the summer bite starts to invade our area. Tuna will be the the first to show up and then soon after we should have improving bottom fishing as red grouper make their way inshore to the Swiss cheese bottom that we have so much of.

Thanks and don't forget to book your trip of a life time 1-800-350-5001 or www.offshorehustler.com
